1. Who we are

Dukaan Ledger is a retail management platform designed for mobile shops and small retailers. It helps users manage stock, sales, customers, suppliers, expenses, investments, staff access, and credit records.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Dukaan Ledger, we may collect and process the following categories of information:

• Account information such as your name, email address, phone number, and workspace or store identity.
• Business records you create in the app, including inventory items, IMEI information, sales records, customer and supplier details, expense records, investment records, and credit ledger entries.
• Staff and privilege data for users added to a store workspace.
• Technical information such as device type, app version, crash information, and sync timestamps.
• Subscription and entitlement information when paid plans are enabled, including Google Play purchase status, product identifiers, and plan verification details.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• create and manage store workspaces and user access,
• save and sync business records across supported devices,
• provide dashboards, reports, search, and operational features,
• verify subscription or trial access where applicable,
• maintain security, detect misuse, and prevent unauthorized access,
• improve reliability, troubleshoot issues, and support users.

4. Service providers

Dukaan Ledger may use trusted service providers to deliver essential product functions. These may include:

• account authentication, secure data storage, synchronization, notifications, and service reliability,
• customer support, account security, and service administration,
• Google Play services for app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, and related plan verification.

If payments or subscriptions are processed through Google Play, payment processing is handled by Google. Dukaan Ledger does not store your full bank card details.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in limited situations such as:

• with infrastructure providers that help us operate the app and related services,
• when required by law, legal process, or valid governmental request,
• to protect the security, rights, or integrity of Dukaan Ledger, our users, or the public.

6. Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the Android app is used, measure key conversion steps, improve the service, and evaluate the effectiveness of the user journey.

Firebase Analytics may automatically collect or process technical and usage information, including:

• app-instance and device identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID where it is available,
• approximate location derived from masked IP addresses or other device signals,
• sessions, screen views, app lifecycle events, and limited conversion-funnel events such as account registration, first verified owner activation, and the first business action,
• supported Google Play purchase and subscription activity that Firebase Analytics measures automatically.

This information is currently used for product analytics, conversion measurement, and improving Dukaan Ledger. We do not send store names, customer or supplier names, transaction amounts, IMEI values, email addresses, phone numbers, workspace identifiers, or Firebase user identifiers as custom Analytics event parameters.

Dukaan Ledger does not display advertisements inside the app. It does not use AdMob, banner ads, interstitial ads, rewarded ads, or other in-app ad placements. The presence of an Advertising ID for Analytics measurement does not mean that advertisements are shown in Dukaan Ledger.

7. Data storage and retention

Business records may be stored locally on your device for offline use and may also be securely synchronized so your workspace can provide supported online features and data continuity. We keep data for as long as it is needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our terms and controls.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Account and data deletion

You can request deletion of your Dukaan Ledger account and store data by emailing support@dukaanledger.com from your registered email address. You may also submit a support ticket from inside the app after signing in.

After verifying the request, we will delete or anonymize the account and associated store data unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legitimate business reasons.

10. Children's privacy

Dukaan Ledger is intended for business and general adult use. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Your choices and control

You may be able to update or correct certain information from within the app or by contacting us. Workspace owners are responsible for managing staff access and business records created within their stores.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above.
